snoop-stock...

you picked snoopy and Woodstock to carve into your pumpkins...thank goodness for a template!  it turned out to be much easier than it seemed it would be...

Jackson, you were "hands in" this year...

zoey, you preferred to remove one pumpkin seed at a time with a spoon...

hot chocolate while mommy and daddy carved...

and the finished products...

field trip...

so, i'm pretty sure that i'm going to be the worst homeschooling mom ever.  love the planning and gathering of materials...total failure at execution.  just can't seem to get serious about schooling you little rascals.  what to do when I'm not ready for REALLY "doing school"???  FIELD TRIP!!!

here is our classroom...all set up...hardly ever used.  school in our jammies...BEST!

we went to a family farm run by a homeschooling mom...in her laundry room, we saw a baby chicken that just hatched right before we got there...

you got to hold one that was a few days older...

Jackson, you learned that horses toot REALLY loudly!!!  gave us the giggles, didn't it?

zoey, you learned that you prefer to ride ponies...not at all excited about this big horse.

you held a baby bunny...

...and learned to be gentle and careful.

and then my camera battery died.  we saw a baby pig, goats, mama bunnies, chickens, and a duck.

the first of many field trips, i'm sure.  even after I get us disciplined with a school routine/schedule, we'll always need an excuse to blow off the routine/schedule...you'll never have to twist my arm too hard to get me to skip school.  :0)
