last day...

our last day...hanging out in an almost empty house...not much to do but lay on a couple of mattresses on the floor and watch movies...

you two are my favorites.

while i was packing, i came across the little gold bracelet that i wore when i was about your age. it fits you perfectly. pretty.

fast forward a couple of weeks...and it was time to pack it all up...

dum-da-da-dah!!! grandma and grandpa miller to the rescue!!! your grandma miller is an AWESOME packer and it turns out--your grandpa miller is an AWESOME babysitter!!! they helped us SO MUCH!!!

this is what you two did while mommy and grandma packed. grandpa also took you to the park and to "chicken fry" TWO days in a row!!! ("chicken fry"=Chic-fil-a)

the pictures above the changing table--they look a little funny. they were hung based on previous nail holes...mommy didn't want to make any more holes in the walls...

zoey's bed. you'll notice the blue painter's tape around the maps near your bed. you're a picker...the tape was to keep you from tearing them off the wall.

i didn't take pictures of the computer room or the laundry room or the bathrooms...they weren't very pretty rooms.

this was a GREAT first house!!! we loved it well and were sad to leave. but our new house...it's pretty great and i know we'll have lots of fun in it and make lots of memories. can't wait to move in!!!

oh yeah, this is the part where we move back to SC from MO and put our house up for sale and sell it less than 30 days later...crazy!!! God was so good to us and brought us the perfect buyer at the perfect time. but i would be lying if i said His timing didn't stress me out completely. when we sold the house, i had not even LOOKED at a house for us to move into...so we had to SCRAMBLE like eggs to find something. fast.

dum-da-da-dahhh!!! granna and papa to the rescue!!! mommy called them and they came lickety-split to take care of you two while mommy went to find a house. (daddy had just started a new job and he was out of town and not able to help mommy look.)

these pictures were taken on a crazy-warm FEBRUARY day?!! it's about 6 pm--the sun was going down--and we're all outside without jackets. crazy.

DINOSAUR!!!

mommy spent a few days looking at houses...and after looking but not finding...we decided to build a house...since we were moving to alabama anyway...YEAH--i said MOVING TO ALABAMA...building a house in south carolina/moving to alabama. say what?!! we move a lot. a lot. so keep up here...we sold our house, decided to build a house, decided to go live with daddy in alabama while it was being built, moved all our stuff into storage units, had to be homeless for two weeks, then FINALLY settled ourselves into an apartment with daddy until the house is finished. good thing you two are so little and flexible and clueless...the only constant you seem to need is your mommy and daddy...and THAT is no problem whatsoever...we're here--where ever "here" happens to be--always.
