his nasty umbilical stump FINALLY fell off, so we were able to take a REAL bath...LOVED the "bath" part...HATED the "getting out" part...he was covered with goose bumps and his chin was chattering...awwww...he's so cute when he's mad...plan to put a video of him "mad" on here at some point...too cute!!!

to answer your facebook question, kristen...i took him to the doctor when his umbilical stump fell off because it was OOZING yellow pus...and it smelled...and it looked like it was "open"...and i'm a first time mom and it freaked me out...AND they won't just tell you it's "normal" over the phone-they have to SEE it to tell you it's normal.

he's three and a half weeks old...and he's been to the doctor THREE times...and will go a fourth next week.

the swing...wasn't sure about it at first...but quickly became a fan of the NOISY "nature noises"...makes him feel like he's back in the noisy womb, i guess.

not completely convinced that he's a "colic baby" as his pediatrician suggested...i think he's a baby and babies cry.
